In season 9, episode 16, we’re introduced to Tracy’s former boyfriend, before she got with Ted. The scene is supposedly from April 2012, but then the narration claims the two of them dated for a couple of years, and everything was fine.
However, from this scene, Tracy meets Ted just one year later, which doesn’t add up. Of course, there are a load of minor inconsistencies like this. Still, it seems it could have easily been avoided with a little attention.
