It seems they couldn’t wait for the little baby actress to age up before filming. In season 9, episode 15, we see the moments before their second child, Luke, is born. Penny was supposed to be born in early 2015, and it’s now supposed to be 2017.
Penny, by this point, is meant to be at least two years old. However, the baby here was only one year and three months old. We know this as she is the child of the director Carter Bays and Denise Cox Bays.
