This isn’t an inconsistency, but we thought you might find it interesting to know. Josh Radnor, the actor who plays Ted Mosby, is genuinely highly allergic to dogs. In fact, one time filming, his allergy was set off big time.
During the filming of season 2, episode 16, paramedics had to be called because Josh Radnor had a severe allergic reaction to the dogs in that episode. While Lily’s allergy might be extremely inconsistent, Josh Radnor’s is absolutely not.
