In a passing comment during season 2, episode 18, Lily jokes that her dad isn’t going to pay for a second wedding. However, later on in season 8, episode 5, it becomes clear that Lily and her father are incredibly distant, not to mention he’s not invited to her wedding.
We also learn that Lily’s father has a load of financial problems because of his failed board game company. Not only couldn’t he have paid for the original wedding, he definitely couldn’t have paid for a second one either.
