Barney explains the time when he first got intimate with a woman in season 2, episode 12. He tells everyone that his first time was with his mom’s friend, Rhonda, who was 45 at the time, while Barney was 23. He claimed that for two weeks after, his comforter smelled like menthol.
This is a result of a certain habit of hers, however this isn’t quite right. It turns out that season 3, episode 10, shows that it happened at Rhonda’s house. So how did his comforter smell of menthol?
