Along with how people categorized and stereotyped genders, perceptions of cigarettes is another concept that has changed drastically over the years. Back in the day, it was common to smoke by all people – the young, the old, working-class, high-class, and everyone had a cigarette brand that they favored. In fact, if you didn’t smoke, you simply weren’t cool.
This ad explains that the cigarette brand of choice for doctors was Camel, which is certainly not something you would hear today.
