It is pretty understandable that an ad such as this would be receive a lot of backlash if it would be released these days. Stereotypes such as this were pretty popular during the late 1940s, where it was may to seem as though there was no other place for women other than in the kitchen.
This ad also makes the case that men are incapable to cooking dinner for themselves. We would not have guessed otherwise.
