Math is “just a bad memory for many others,” this article says, and we think the author of the piece or their editor are included in that group. If that’s not the case, and barring a very well-developed sense of irony on their part, we really can’t explain the headline.
In case you missed it, four out of ten people is not a majority, and neither is five out of ten for that matter. That’s not even math. It’s basic arithmetic. If they don’t know that, how did they survive long enough to get this newspaper job?
