In the spirit of good journalism, we feel like full disclosure is warranted. The yellow object is – you might’ve guessed – the sun. It’s probably a gag, as the Metro Herald is an Irish newspaper and the British Isles aren’t exactly known for their all-year-round sunny weather.
So the people of Ireland got to see the sun, probably for the first time in some cases, and there was much rejoicing. Hilarious, but… Was there really nothing else actually newsworthy going on anywhere in the country that day? We like a good weather joke as much as the next leprechaun, but that was the front page…
