Far be it from us to call into question the conclusions of the eggheads at the World Bank, but… if poor people didn’t need more money, they probably couldn’t really be considered poor, could they?
The subheadline doesn’t really help either, because we can’t figure out whether it’s the poor people in rich countries or the poor people in poor countries that this piece is about. Everything is so vague and general to the point that this brings back memories of our fifth grade oral book report we did about a book we haven’t actually read.
