Every hardcore sports fan knows the feeling. The morning after a big game – and even bigger loss – we have to carry on with life as if nothing happened; as if our world didn’t come crashing down hours earlier. Here we have the inevitable result of this situation.
This Scottish newspaper reported on a Scottish Premier League soccer match between Hibernian Football Club of Edinburgh and St Mirren Football Club of Paisley. The presumably local boys of Hibernian lost, and the guys in the sports section were so despondent that they couldn’t even bang out a boilerplate headline.
