We really, really hate to make light of a very serious problem plaguing not just the United States but most of the Western world. We hate to do that… But the Sacramento Bee did it first.
Of course, steps should be taken to solve the problem of street dwellers, but maybe not the steps that this headline implies. In a story about special winter shelters closing their doors when the seasons changed, the Bee’s editor thought it was a great idea to say, “Well, that didn’t work. We really hoped winter would take care of them.”
