[post_page_title]Baseball’s first Aquaman[/post_page_title]
Even though he’s currently a team-less free agent, Major League Baseball relief pitcher Pat Venditte has had quite the pro career with teams like the Oakland Athletics, Los Angeles Dodgers, and San Francisco Giants.
He’s perhaps most famous, however, for being the only active player to be able to pitch proficiently with both hands. It’s quite a feather in his cap, but perhaps not quite as big of a feather as being the first amphibious MLB pitcher. That’s right, Venditte apparently is baseball’s Aquaman, and can live on both land and sea. Or they wanted to say “ambidextrous” and got it wrong. Either/or.
