The filming of Selena’s concert scenes gave Jennifer Lopez the itch to go after a recording career. “When I did Selena, it all came back again,” JLo said. “Having that interaction with the fans and the public, which you don’t get in movies,” Lopez in 1999 told the Los Angeles Times.
She admitted to missing that experience and closeness with the fans – something she experienced during her musical theater career. And we’re so glad she did Selena, because where would Latin Pop music be today without JLo…
