The friend wondered if it was because she didn’t like the way the haircut looked. Was the girl’s mom upset because she had decided to cut her hair in the first place, or was it because of how much she had cut off? She hoped it wasn’t too much about appearances, considering how young the little girl was.
The friend thought that if the little girl was happy with it, then why shouldn’t the mom be? However, it did eventually dawn on her that she probably should have asked permission.
