While celebrities might rely on the media to keep them in the spotlight, being photographed all the time can get incredibly frustrating. Benedict Cumberbatch evidently got fed up with being the obsession of the paparazzi, hence why he’s used notes in the past to ward them off.
It appears that the actor wanted to shame the photographers into feeling guilty about taking his picture rather than focusing on something more important. He thought the situation over in Egypt deserved more attention than what he was doing on a day-to-day basis.
