In season 2, episode 2, Lily goes over to Robin’s apartment with all of Robin’s dogs present at the time. Robin has five dogs, but at the time, this doesn’t bother Lily, and she has no obvious allergy. However, in episode 5, Lily can’t stay with Robin because she supposedly has a dog allergy.
This then forces her into Barney’s apartment and kicks off the episode ‘World’s Greatest Couple’. In the episode ‘Aldrin Justice’, Lily is actually shown petting one of Robin’s dogs.
