In 1967 Cher briefly worked for photographer Richard Avedon as a model. She became a fashion trendsetter when her music career boomed. In the 60s, Cher was known for her signature jet black hair, bell-bottoms, bandanas, and tunics.
This style looked both cool and daring. The 60s were about challenging moral laws and the pursuit of cool. Cher couldn’t have arrived at a better time. She was a fashion trendsetter not only in the US but around the world.
