Both Cher and her mom have experienced hardships in their life. At the time when Georgia had Cher, she was unstable, and this caused her to become mentally disturbed, but somehow she pulled through. They were so poor Cher used rubber bands to stick her torn shoes together.
Being through a lot of challenges as a family may either create togetherness or division. Thankfully, their challenges caused them to grow tight, so that Cher even dedicated a song to her mom.
