Between 1979 and 1993 these two made no less than six massively successful movies together, and they were as close as two friends can get in the fickle world of showbiz. But during the filming of Groundhog Day, yet another box office success, Bill was struggling in his marriage and behaved erratic and rude as a result.
The difficulties and arguments that ensued on-set between the two friends led to them not talking for 21(!) years. Luckily they finally reconciled right before Harold passed away in 2014.
