Jessie’s relationship with her family was complicated at the time she was designing the place. However, she felt it was important to add personal taste and pieces of family history.
For instance, Jessie hung up black and white photos of her family from previous generations, and decorated the home with other family heirlooms. In addition, Jessie frequently uses china plates that are her great-grandmother’s from when she used to live on the Lower East Side on Delancey Street.
