Despite her rocky entrance into the Royal Family, Camilla has proven in her 14 years as a Duchess, that she has got what it takes. She has put the bad reputation behind her and ignored all allegations. The Queen clearly admires her for this. During the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in 2012, Camilla was allowed to sit beside her in the main carriage.
The Queen has also given the Duchess two distinguished honors, which both symbolize that she has the Queen’s approval. These things, as a collection, could suggest that Camilla is, indeed, the favorite of the in-laws. However, there is someone else that will have a massive influence on the Queen’s decision.
