Camilla Rosemary Shand was born in London on July 17, 1947, to an Army Major, who was the Vice Lord-Lieutenant of East Sussex. After World War two, her father became a wine merchant, and then later he was appointed an officer of Her Majesty’s Bodyguard.
This meant that Camilla was then in close proximity to Her Majesty the Queen, and was brought up as a polite member of society. However, her royal journey didn’t end there.
