It was rumored that the Anglin brothers, in particular, were alive and their mother regularly received flowers on her birthday, but there was no card in the parcel.
When their mother died in 1973 more rumors surfaced that they attended the funeral in disguise. They reportedly wore women’s clothing to remain undercover and keep their identities a secret. A picture surfaced in the ‘70s that was said to be of the brothers after a relative claimed they had been in contact until 1987, when the brothers had to cut all ties.
