[post_page_title]Forging a likeness[/post_page_title]
The men managed to fool guards into thinking they were asleep in their beds by creating likenesses of their heads using a rudimentary papier-mâché.
They used toilet paper and soap which they then painted when hardened using supplies from the maintenance shop. Hair taken from the floor of the barbershop was used to add the finishing touches, and the dummy heads were complete. They put the heads on their pillows, and stuffed towels and sheets under their blankets to make it seem as though they were just asleep.
