The Queen of England has three sons; Prince Charles, Prince Andrew, and Prince Edward. With sons, eventually comes daughters-in-law. When it comes to the Queen’s relationship with her son’s wives, it hasn’t been the smoothest ride for any party involved.

The Queen has had a number of daughters-in-law over the years. Princess Diana, who was Prince Charles’ first wife, was supposedly very close with the Queen. However, their relationship did appear somewhat strained toward the end of the couple’s marriage.
On the other hand, their relationship ended far better than the one between the Queen and Prince Andrew’s ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson. Toward the end of that marriage, there were some allegedly controversial photos the Queen could never forgive.
