Suzanne was upset to see such an iconic building go up in flames, but she was also conscious of the fact that things could have been very different. After taking photographs and nurturing their plans to see the Notre-Dame up close and personal, Suzanne and her son decided to quickly venture into a tourist shop.
It was during these moments that the fire began to take hold, and it was these moments that made all of the difference. They were lucky that they were so far away from the flames, and they were lucky that they decided to change their plans.
