Let’s be honest; we live in a world where technology reigns supreme. It seems as though we can’t go out for brunch without taking an aerial shot of our food for the ‘Gram. We can’t watch television without live-tweeting everything that’s happening on our screens. In fact, we can’t even go on vacation without whipping out our phones and snapping a few selfies here and there! This has just become a part of everyday life, but it’s not all bad.
These pictures are also a great way to remember certain moments in your life and serve as a reminder of the good times. One woman and her son decided to take a few photographs during their day-trip to Paris so that they could look back on their vacation for years to come. However, they were so focused on their smiles that they were oblivious to what was going on behind them. This is the woman that took a selfie in front of the famous Notre-Dame cathedral without realizing it was on fire.
[post_page_title]A thousand words[/post_page_title]
We all know that a picture paints a thousand words, but sometimes a picture provides a snapshot of a moment that will go down in history. Most of the time, we don’t realize that we are taking such a picture. We get so wrapped up in making sure that the lighting is perfect, our pose is on point, and we have the perfect filter that we forget to actually look at the photo we’re taking. One mom-and-son duo did just that when they went to Paris for the day.
Because they were so wrapped up in the fun that they were having and the memories that they were making, they didn’t pay too much attention to what was really going on behind them. It was only when they looked back on the photo that they realized they had captured the moment one of the most famous monuments in the world became engulfed in the flames.
