After the mom-and-son duo took their selfies, Suzanne decided to send them via Facebook Messenger to her partner back home. She wanted to showcase the fact that she was having a great time with Billy, and that they were standing outside of the building with the famous bells.
They were eager to show off their day and the incredible monument, and because of this, they weren’t paying attention to the specifics. They were focused on taking their photos, rather than the plume of smoke that was starting to billow from the top of the building.
