Given that William is going to be king one day, he wasn’t allowed to marry anyone who didn’t get the seal of approval from the Queen. Thankfully, the monarch was more than happy for Kate to become his wife after the Prince popped the question.
However, it’s alleged that some members of the family weren’t so welcoming of the Duchess when she first entered the picture. Supposedly, people like Camilla thought that she was far “too common” to marry William, much to our shock.
