No matter where you are in America, dress code policies will always try to catch students out for one reason or another. Every school differs in what it considers appropriate, so what you can get away with in one establishment will land you in trouble in another.
Sometimes, this is understandable, but other times, the school definitely takes things too far. The idea that Chloe’s outfit was unsuitable simply because it showed off her shoulders certainly seems to fit the latter category. However, perhaps – as the principal says – we don’t have all the facts.
