Although Lynch felt she was wrongly called out for her outfit, a look at the dress code policy does show that her clothes were technically inappropriate. The policy states that anything which doesn’t “adequately cover the front, back, side, shoulders or midriff” was not to be allowed on the school grounds.
Whether she agrees with these rules or not, having her shoulders on display was a clear violation of what was allowed. The dean was technically in the right when they asked Chloe to change. However, the situation could have been dealt with better.
