To no one’s surprise, Scream 2 also opened with a shocking scene that was intended to keep viewers on the edge of their seats from the beginning of the movie. The creators had to take it up a notch, so they placed the scene at a movie theatre during a screening of Stab, a movie-within-a-movie based on the events depicted on the first Scream.
Maureen Evans and her boyfriend Phil sit at the theatre thinking all these masked people around them are just fans of Stab, only to discover that one person has different plans for them.
