This friend knew she had told the little girl they would make her hair pretty. So now she was in a tough situation and had to make a decision. She was used to getting knots out of her own kids’ hair, but this was something else entirely.
So, she made the decision to trim the little girl’s hair, and she thought that the girl’s mom would love it, and it might cheer her up somewhat. So she went to fetch the scissors, thinking it was the right thing to do.
