As the director of the psychological horror film, Darren Aronofsky had a particular vision about how he wanted ‘Mother!’ to come across. Unfortunately, it seems he may have been a little too focused on audience perception, to the point that it destroyed his relationship with Jennifer Lawrence.
The actress was the movie’s lead, but it seems that being her boyfriend’s muse wasn’t a great idea. She allegedly became so frustrated by his obsession with the film that she called time on their relationship. At least the movie got great reviews.
