Cohen’s story was compelling and interesting, so naturally people reached out to the restaurant who had shamed him and asked if they had anything to say for themselves. Indeed, the restaurant decided to make another post explaining that their initial one was just a joke.
The owner, Yao Liu, even said the words, “I apologize,” in direct response to the accusation that Cohen had no manners. While an apology is always good, we still wonder if she would have done so without all the publicity.
