Cohen loved very much to surprise individuals and pay for their meals (or laundry) with the many quarters he had raised. However, he also decided that he wanted to spread the kindness on a much larger scale.
Cohen decided to use some of the money that had been donated and put it towards the local soup kitchen. With his quarters, Cohen bought basic cleaning and eating supplies so that Lynchburg Daily Bread could help better serve those in need – reaching a much larger amount of people.
