Believe it or not, Harry and Meghan aren’t the only ones who stepped down from their royal status. Prince Edward and Sophie the Countess of Essex also tried to do the same, but failed in the end. They were both in charge of their own companies and wanted to continue leading them. They performed some royal duties but things got messy when Sophie started to use her position as a royal to get clients at her PR. Mixing family and work is never a smart thing to do.
