He didn’t want to make the same mistake and rush big decisions, so he thought they should take their time while Kate adjusts to the royal life. As history has shown, it wasn’t just Prince Charles and Princess Diana who went through a divorce. Edward VIII nearly ruined the entire monarchy with his insistence on getting married to a divorced woman, and Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s divorce was also a stain on the royal family. So it’s not a surprise that this was something that Will wanted to avoid.
