The guy tries to come off like he is somehow being reasonable, but Thea, not immediately rising to the comment, simply replies with ‘Excuse me?’. No doubt she was completely astounded to have received such a rude message. What else could she have replied?
It was hardly a message worth answering; not only was it wholly subjective but it was totally uncalled for. Most people wouldn’t offer a total stranger a negative opinion on their appearance, not just because it can be considered rude, but because it’s unnecessary.
