In her announcement, Madonna also boldly poked some fun at the Royal Family, and Canada, all at once. She stated Canada is boring compared to living in the bustling New York, and said her flat overlooks Central Park.
She added “Buckingham Palace has nothing on Central Park West”, saying the view is a lot better from her place, and not just a bunch of “woolly hats”. Her joking tone (which some may find offensive) pretty much sums up the way many American celebs view the British monarchy.
