Even if the two end up becoming private citizens, they’re still global celebrities. It’d be absurd to imagine everyone will just forget about them because they’re not part of the Royal Family anymore. If anything, public interest is only expected to intensify. This has already been evidenced by hordes of media descending on Vancouver Island, where the (ex-)royals are staying.
Paparazzi photos of Meghan have been published worldwide, prompting the couple to issue a legal warning against continued attention. Ironically, virtually no pap photos of them were taken while they were living in the U.K. Canada is a whole other ballgame – one they’ll have to get used to.
