The woman who answered the phone was the gym’s manager, Angela Lavinder. After she calmed down a bit, she explained what happened. She said that Matthew had been in an accident.
Less than 24 hours after his unbelievable act of kindness, the man’s car swerved and went into a tree. While there were two other passengers in the car who were hospitalized, Matthew got it bad. Lavinder then told Jamie-Lynne that he had passed away from his injuries shortly after the incident. The news shook her to her very core.
