Monuments exist for a reason. They’re there to treasure the memories of those who have fallen, whether they fought in wars or simply had a significant impact on the world. These are places that people can visit to remember those they’ve lost and continue to honor their memories.
That’s why it’s so distasteful that someone would consider it appropriate to leave their trash behind like this. That bottle stands out for all the wrong reasons, and it leaves an awful taste in our mouths. Some people have no shame.
