Russia may seem like a monoethnic place to westerners, but it is actually just about as diverse of a country as it is huge. That should really come as no surprise, considering the fact that the western border bumps up against Europe, while the eastern border bumps up against Asia.
For that reason, there are many different beauty standards throughout Russia. That being said, it is commonly held that fair skin and lighter features (including blue eyes) are traditionally considered highly attractive in major Russian cities.
