When Step by Step ended, so did Brandon Call’s acting career. In 1996, Brandon was in a tragic accident and was shot in both arms. In an apparent random attack, the attacker, Tommy Eugene Lewis, chased the actor’s car and cornered Brandon while he was driving.
Brandon made a full recovery, but after finishing up his role in Step by Step in 1998, he retired from acting. It may have been the shooting that stopped him from acting again but we’ll never know.
