Someone was putting off surgery on their foot. Apparently, they were diabetic and had already had to have the other amputated. He eventually went in when his foot had gone white, and the nurse was left to try and get him stabilized.
In the end, they knew there was nothing they could do, and intensive care didn’t have the space for the patient. He also couldn’t get the surgery. The nurse had to explain that he was going to lose his life and had to call his only friend to be by his side at the time.
