It turns out that some patients are further ahead with the diagnosis than nurses. One farmer was adamant that his left arm had been removed in a farming accident. However, the nurse couldn’t see anything on his notes about a missing limb.
It wasn’t until they pulled the sheets back and the farmer’s arm fell off that they realized he had been telling the truth. Apparently, the farmer even managed an “I told you so” when he saw the nurse’s face.
