He left Harvard during his junior year to form the company, alongside his hometown friend Paul G. Allen, back in 1975.
By 1987, he was already listed by Forbes as one of the richest people in America. In fact, at $1.25 billion, he was then the world’s youngest self-made billionaire. Today, Gates has an estimated net worth of $102 billion.
