Even though there isn’t a crazy amount of storage space, Jessie likes that there is only a limited amount. She said she could have built more, but having less room makes her more efficient with the space that she has.
Sure it would be easier to have more space, but being limited helps her keep only what she absolutely needs. By eliminating extra items that are not necessary, she seems to be following what she wanted to do in the first place— live simpler with less possessions.
